Recap – ITE’s 5th General Meeting

5th MeetingOn Thursday, January 10th 2013, ITE Cal Poly Pomona held the 5th General Meeting of the year and featured Cal Poly Alumnus, Mr. Gianfranco Laurie, P.E. who spoke on behalf of the KOA Corporation. (Original post can be found here)

Mr. Laurie overviewed three projects in his presentation “Overcoming Civil and Traffic Design Challenges”: a Moreno Valley road widening project next to a high volume fast food restaurant, a Rancho Cucamonga Traffic Signal Improvement Plan, a Coordination Plan for 21 traffic signals and the Traffic Management Center in Downtown Oakland. Mr. Laurie recommended that new graduates be willing to work on a variety projects in consultant work, as demonstrated through the examples he introduced.
