ITE’s second meeting of the Winter term is this Thursday, January 24th during U-hour (12-1 PM), in the Transpo Lab (17-2646). We will be hosting Vanessa Munoz as our guest speaker who will be discussing the Metro Orange Line Extension Project. This weeks lunch will be provided from Subway.
Ms. Vanessa Muñoz, PE, TE, PTOE serves as the Deputy Director of Engineering for Design Group II for Willdan Engineering. Ms. Muñoz has 15 years (13 years with Willdan) of traffic and transportation experience and is an accomplished engineer for multi-discipline and multi-agency traffic and transportation projects, and is known for providing innovative quality engineering services to ensure project delivery within budget and schedule. She is responsible for analysis, coordination, and design of various projects, including preparation of PS&E for street widening, traffic signals, signing and striping, bike lanes, street lighting and traffic calming. Ms. Muñoz has secured funding through the Safe Routes to School (SR2S) and Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grants and has extensive experience administering Federal Aid projects including HSIP, ARRA, CDBG, STIP, and SRTS. Ms. Muñoz is bi-lingual, fluent in the Spanish language and serves as City Traffic Engineer for the City of Rolling Hills.
